Tomorrow's breakfast agenda:
Cinnamon raisin currant cookie oatmeal.
I currently have steel-cut oats soaking with cinnamon and currants, and in the morning when I finish cooking them I’m going to add 12g of vanilla protein powder. It’s going to be sweet, chewy, and perfect.
Then I’m going to church, then my mom and I are coming home and having wraps for lunch and finishing off the coleslaw we made today...

My calves are still insanely sore
So I didn’t run today. I did a quick ab workout and then some upper body resistance (mostly kettlebell stuff), and it was pretty great. Now I might hoop a little bit. I’m letting today be an “active” rest day. I have practice tomorrow, then Monday I’ll get back to running consistently, hopefully with no pain :)
rockfit asked: curiousto know where you're from, and also if you've ever run a marathon. Sorry if you've covered these Q's before... I'm new to tumbler. I skimmed your faq and story, but didn't see what I was looking for.
Had a pretty awesome girl date tonight
My friend Morgan and I went to the mall and then to the movies, and it was very pleasant. We ate in the food court, and I was feeling adventurous, so I ordered a gyro from a semi-dirty place ambiguously named “Grill”. And it was freaking awesome. I swear gyros can only be really good if you get them from somewhere shady. Then we saw Water For Elephants which was okay but disappointing...
So my dad has lost 30 pounds and my mom has lost...
And right now they’re both going through all their old clothes, and they keep coming out to show me how huge their “normal” clothes are, and all the clothes they fit in now that they haven’t worn in nearly 10 years.
It’s pretty much awesome. Because they’re awesome. I love my parents.
Me: Dad, you are tiny. I can totally see now where I got my baby bones....
My calves feel like death.
I guess running hills everyday for a week will do that to you. I’m still getting used to this whole “consistency” thing. So no run for me today (unless miraculously my boyfriend decides he wants to run with me), but I am going to do p90x yoga with my mom. Basically anytime anyone asks me to exercise with them, I say yes, regardless of whether or not I really want to or if it fits...
So, change of plans.
We’re not going to Georgia tomorrow, because there’s no power or water in the entire county and there won’t be until at least the 3rd, so we’re trying to get them to come stay with us. Right now though, they’re going to go stay with some other relatives, and not worry about getting their house cleaned up right now. My dad will most likely go down at the end of next...
So I didn't kick into productivity mode as soon as...
I ate breakfast, read for way too long, moped about my dead computer, and then finally did an ab workout and went running. 3 miles, 6:50 pace, which I think may be my best ever for that particular route. It’s tough. I’ve run everyday this week! I’m super proud of myself, and won’t feel bad at all to take tomorrow off. And I’ll be able to run while I’m in GA, so...
So I'm pretty sure the power outages yesterday...
AWESOME. Luckily I have everything important on my external harddrive, but this is really inconvenient.
So tomorrow I need to
Run
Do an ab workout
Do laundry
Clean my room
Pack for Georgia
Take a shower
Probably in that order. Which means I need to kick into productivity mode as soon as I get up! I might try and get my run in right after breakfast if it isn’t raining, unless I can talk my boyfriend into running with me, in which case I’ll do it whenever I can get him to. No matter what though, I...
So I had a great practice, and then got some...
We had practice at the WVU track, and all we did was this fitness test that the WVU women’s soccer team has to do, where you have 23 seconds to run 120 meters, then you have the rest of the minute to get back, and you go again. And you do that 10 times, then you do 5 more and for each one you get one less second to do it, so you have to do the final one in 18 seconds. And if you miss the...
So my theme just went all wonky again.
Shoot me, please.
nihondaisukidesu asked: wow your blog is actually amazing. I'm in recovery for anorexia, and you have helped so much by inspiring me to exercise and treat my body well instead of just wanting to starve it. i have a few questions: What do you consider unhealthy foodwise and what foods do your steer clear of? What does a typical day of food look like for you? do you count calories? (I do and it's my OCD and I...
naijabarbie asked: What's your dress size/measurements?
Beautiful spring weather makes life awesome.
I woke up at the same time as my mom this morning, and I made whole grain blueberry waffles and we ate breakfast together outside, then stayed outside and had hot tea and read books for ages, then I had an apple and some peanut butter and went for a leisurely 2 mile run, then sat on the porch with my mom and aunt and brother (who is finally home!), then took a shower.
Today has already been...

Oh and I updated my progress blog a bit today.
I need to do a real update with pictures from a real camera soon. Still though, feedback is nice.
jernal asked: How fast did you see ab results, like approximately how long has it taken you to get where you could see obvious abs without flexing?
ekm1295 asked: Have you always been a good runner, I'm very impressed with your times and hope to be able to run as well as you one day. What were your times when you first began running?

My boyfriend has me all figured out.
Me: I love vegetables.
Jordan: Babe, I'm pretty sure you just love food in general.
myhealthiswealth-deactivated201 asked: picture of the mint vintage dres..?! :D
teacupsandhurricanes-deactivate asked: what are your prs?
Lots of random things shoved into one post.
Bulleted, of course.
My run was awesome. I did 2 miles at about a 6:45 pace and then did 30/30 HIIT for the next two miles because I have the attention span of a mouse. It was killer, but fantastic. With the walk there and the run back, I probably did about 5 total miles.
My body did not punish me today for eating poorly yesterday, which I really appreciate.
My cousin had her baby last night!...
recoveringnaturelbeauty asked: Oh ! One question I remember I had. I eat calcium chews sometimes, but I heard they arent actually good for you. I saw you said you had one onetime and I was wondering if you know anything more about them?
makeitacoffee asked: Where do you buy Shirataki noodles from? :)

4 mile run sounds nice today.
It’s 75 degrees and absolutely lovely, so I’m going to hike to the development, change into my running shoes, and run my 2 mile loop up there twice. So I’ll get a moderate distance run with moderate hills, plus the hike there and back.
forevermotivated-deactivated201 asked: If muscle weighs more [or is more dense] than fat, then why is your weight as low as it is? Btw I'm not hating, I believe that you are strong and healthy. Your body is phenomenal!
tattie-sian-deactivated20110426 asked: When you first started running, how long did it take for you to notice proper weight loss?
PS: Congrats on your 5K :)
PS: Congrats on your 5K :)
nakedyouth asked: where do you shop??
I have to say, I really like p90x.
I’ve only done the plyometrics (super fun), the ab ripper (easy, but fun), and the yoga (awesome), but as you can see, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all of them. It’s a great indoor workout since it’s been raining so much this week.
I indulged a bit today, since it is Easter.
And my body is now crying and saying,”What is this sugar crap? We were so happy without this!”
Coconut cream pie, you were not worth it.
Doing yoga with my mom now.
Well, I'm going to bed.
I have steel cut oats soaking for breakfast, plans to meet my new baby cousin (/nephew, because our families are so weirdly connected that that’s how it feels) tomorrow, and an amazing mint green vintage dress laid out to wear to church.
Oh, and I just quite bluntly poured out my soul in a text message. Yikes.
Anyway, goodnight!

I just made the cutest chocolate cookies to take...
With lovely little pastel sprinkles.
And I did not eat a single sprinkle, nor taste the dough, nor lick melted chocolate off of my fingers. Because I have been 100% sugar free since March 9th, and I’m sure not going to screw that up now.
Tomorrow though, I’m super excited to try these :)
Today:
Woke up before my alarm.
Made a wonderful omelet for breakfast: One egg and 6 tablespoons of egg whites, 1/2 cup cottage cheese, half an onion, a cup of spinach, and some zucchini (veggies all sauteed together).
Did the p90x ab ripper video, and was disappointed in how easy it was.
Took a shower.
Made a lovely early lunch: Ezekiel wrap spread with laughing cow swiss cheese, and then filled...

I created a new waffle recipe this morning.
And it was a SUCCESS. I’ve had some epic waffle failures in the past week or so (and I do mean epic. Two nights ago they were so destroyed that I scraped them out of the waffle iron into a bowl and poured soymilk over them and ate them like weird cereal. They did taste awesome though.), so this morning was good. They’re incredibly dense, which is to be expected when 280 calories worth...
The level of excitement and joy in this car right...
It’s me and my parents and my cousin’s husband, this is so great. And my run today was awesome, my boyfriend bailed after 8 minutes but Jennifer and I went for 30 and probably got 4-4.5 miles in. So I’ve got some good endorphins on top of all of this =P
Today is going to be great.
Hanging out with my boyfriend, going running with him and his friend who runs for WVU, then meeting up with my family to have dinner before they induce my cousin’s labor at 8. Then it’s baby time.
Just found out that my favourite west coast band...
jfshsjfdhks and it’s only $10! I have to go. It’s even on a Monday, so I don’t have soccer. This morning is ridiculously awesome so far.
I wouldn’t say that I’m “friends” with anyone one my team. I have a really hard time making friends. I’m really quiet, and I just don’t connect with people easily. My whole life I’ve been an outsider, simply because the basic things that most people have in common - school, popular music, TV shows, sports - I don’t. When I do connect with someone,...
Practice tonight was awesome.
We started it with a 12 minute run, just laps around the outside of the pitch, and Suggie said we had to do at least 6 laps, preferably 7 or 8. I did 10. Two other girls did 9, another girl did 7, and another girl had to keep running after we were done to get her 6 in (because she threw up after a few). And then Suggie gave us a talk about mental toughness, and finally she goes,”You guys can...
